about
'Reflections' is a simple song that points to a childhood spent growing up in the Kauaeranga Valley, near Thames, New Zealand. It was written and much of it was recorded in the spare bedroom of my home in Taupo. Enjoy.
lyrics
Lyrics;
Open my eyes to half a life ago, blue breeze whispers to me
A song long forgotten, needles in the evergreens
Voice of the boy making noise; wood, strings and melody
In that house on the hill in between the valley and the sea
Growing reflections in the water
River running through my veins
House of wood and green iron
Shaped me day by day
Smiling wide, lost in times embrace
Swinging through life on the hinges of a wooden gate
Hands of my father, mother made the space
Left wanting for nothing as little life takes shape
Growing reflections in the water
River running through my veins
House of wood and green iron
Shaped me day by day
The river water, running through my veins
The river water, shaped me day by day
